Wells Pedestrian Accident Kills Child, Injures Another

By The Law Office of WT Johnson on July 17, 2012

Two children in Wells, Texas were driving a motorized scooter on County Road 2734 and were struck by a Honda Accord. Six-year-old David Stone, died on the scene and his brother, 12-year-old Davion Stone, was taken to the hospital by helicopter and is in stable condition.

The driver, Randall Richard of Cleveland, TX, did not have a license, registration or current inspection sticker. State troopers are investigating whether Richard was speeding or not.

Witness Holly Radcliffe said it didn’t seem like the driver saw the children since he appeared to be going so fast. She grieved like the child was her own, and said she prays the Lord will use this incident for his glory.

It is very important to slow down on county roads with many houses around and children, Daune Hartman, DPS State Trooper said.

An average of 450 pedestrians are killed in Texas annually. That is more than one deadly pedestrian accident a day. If you are reading this and you or a loved one were the victim of a pedestrian accident, you should contact the Law Office of W.T. Johnson immediately to get justice for your pain and suffering.
